About Escape Sacramento

There are metered spots on 19th St, and on I St east of 19th. There is also free 2-hour parking on any street north of I Street! This parking is first come, first serve, and on Friday and Saturday nights it does tend to fill up, so we recommend arriving five minutes early to find a spot. The lot behind our building is for staff parking only.

Tickets start at $37.50 per person at our largest team size (8 players) and go up to $45 per player for our smallest team size (2 players). You can also rent the entire venue for your group at ticket prices as low as $30 per player.

Our games are 100% safe: all of our rooms contain at least one exit that is available to you at all times, even if you’re just feeling uncomfortable or need to use the restroom. If you’re bringing friends and they don’t know what they’re getting themselves into, don’t worry — we’ll do our best to put them at ease.

While a few of our games (The Crypt, The Séance) have a dark, otherworldly, or mysterious vibe, this is not a horror experience. For the safety of our guests and our staff, there won’t be any live actors jumping out at you — the scariest people in the game will be the teammates you bring along, so choose wisely 😉

Yes! Our games have been fully private since 2020. This means that, unlike in some of the large national chains, you won’t be playing with strangers. It also means that you can freely adjust the number of players on your team all the way up to game time, and we will charge or refund you the difference. (Minimum 2 players; maximums from 6-8, varies by game.)

Yes — you can rent out the full venue! We’ve hosted everything from 11-year-old birthdays to bachelor parties, and some of our favorite local companies come back every year for their annual team-building events. Private events are split into 3 tiers: 2-13 players (2 games), 14-20 players (3 games), and 21-30 players (4 games). We do! Our gift cards are the perfect treat for the adventurer in your life. They come in a range of values and can be purchased on our Tickets page (scroll down to the last item).  They can be used for any of our games, and you can even ask us to mail you a handmade version free of charge. The gift of Escape is guaranteed* to put a smile on the face of your friend / family member / superintelligent pet.

Because of the challenge and duration, our games are recommended for players ages ages 8+… but all games are private, so you are welcome to bring children of any age in with you! (Kids love finding stuff!) Players aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and all minors (ages 8-17) must have a waiver signed in advance by a parent or guardian.

Due to the wide variety of the challenges we’ve designed, our escape rooms may not be appropriate for persons with limited mobility or sensory perception. That’s about as specific as we can get without giving away too much of the game, but we are happy to address any concerns individually — please contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate you if we can.
